Breaking Down Your Call Answering Service

A call answering service sounds great to most business owners, but how does it actually work? After all, it can be difficult to conceptualize how your calls will automatically go from your number to operators (and then back again via live call answering if you choose).

Luckily, we’re here to break it down step by step to ensure that you fully understand your investment prior to just signing up for our services. Let’s get started!

      1. Choosing Your Package
        If you’ve visited our pricing page, you already know that we offer clients two packages for their needs:

        • Basic – $39 per month for 50 calls. Additional calls serviced for $0.59 each.
        • Advanced – $59 per month for 100 calls. Additional calls serviced for $0.59 each.

        Once you’ve decided on a package, and whether or not you want a local forwarding number or additional services, you can officially sign up for our services.

      2. Account Setup
        Once you’ve signed up, you’ll receive your forwarding number via text or email between 24 and 48 hours later. If you haven’t requested a local number, it will be ready for immediate use. If you have, you will receive a toll free number to use for the 7 to 10 days it will take to setup this specific number.
      1. Program Your Number
        You need to program your phones to automatically redirect to your forwarding number or give out your forwarding number as your business number if you would like our operators to answer all your calls.Doing so is typically straightforward. If you need assistance, visit our FAQs to learn the standard practice for doing so if your phone provider or technology didn’t come with additional information.
      1. Receive Calls
        Once calls come in, our operators will begin to answer. With our standard services, operators will answer calls in the name of your company and ask for each caller’s name, company name (if applicable), phone number, and the purpose of their call.For an additional $0.10 per field per call, you can also have our operators record additional information. Or, if you want to further upgrade your services, our operators can answer calls with a specific, personalized script you provide.
      1. Forward Your Messages
        Once our operators have received a call, you’ll receive an immediate text, email, or fax that relays the caller’s name, information, and message. Or, if you choose to take advantage of our live call transferring for an additional $5 per month and $0.50 per call, calls will be redirected to your business.From this point, you can determine how to appropriately handle each call.
